HF readers
HF readers operate at 13.56 MHz and support a wide range of RFID and NFC tags. HF technology is the most widely used frequency in access control, payments and smart card applications as it combines adequate read range with good security. Applications include Mifare-based access control, ISO 15693 inventory management, library collection management and NFC application programming. HF readers typically support both ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 standards. HF reader distances typically range from a few centimetres to about ten centimetres, making close-range reading intentional and secure.
